Kalamna Terms and Conditions
As a result of the current lockdown restrictions, all our classes have moved online. These are conducted via Zoom, which must be downloaded prior to the classes. In line with our safeguarding policy, children must be present in a family room or parent’s study with an adult present for the duration of the class. Classes are recorded solely for safeguarding purposes and are kept confidential. If you require your child to join by audio only, please let us know in advance of the class starting.
Our communication is primarily by email and we send a termly newsletter. You will have consented to receiving both upon registration. You can also follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and we have a parents’ Facebook group which you can join here.
This information will be kept confidential and only be used while the child attends the school for the purpose of placing the child in the right class, keeping them safe and communicating with parents about the classes. Parents have a responsibility to inform the school of any change to personal details or circumstances.
We take occasional photos and/or videos of our classes in which children may be visible. Upon registration you give permission for occasional photos and/or videos of your child to be taken and grant full rights to use the images resulting from the photography/video filming, and any reproductions or adaptations of the images for fundraising, publicity or other purposes to help achieve our aims. This might include (but is not limited to), the right to use them in our printed and online publicity, social media, press releases and funding applications.
Punctuality is expected for all groups and attendance to be as close to 100% as possible. Missed classes must be reported prior to the start of the class, as soon as you know that the class will be missed. A copy of the class register is available so that absences can be noted in advance. Please speak to the Administrator about any absences.
Whilst we are conducting our classes online any links to the classes are not to be shared with anyone other than the child’s parents/carers. We will make use of the Waiting Room feature in Zoom in order to make sure that only registered students attend the classes.
Our classes are normally held at St Faith’s School, Cambridge. The school has secure access and a gate and door code is required for access, available upon registration. The code changes each term, so please make a note of the new code at the beginning of each term. Parking is available inside the school in the main car park as well as an overflow car park during busy periods. Parking is permitted on Trumpington Road on Sundays, as well as on the nearest side roads, Bentley Road and Newton Road. Our main access gate is Gate 4 Southfield on Trumpington Road.
We have use of a playground at the school, located immediately outside the classroom, which gives an opportunity for the children to play together and parents to mingle. Parents must supervise their children at all times and make sure they stick to the main climbing frame and do not enter the deck area or play sheds.
Fees are payable termly in advance by bank transfer to the account below, before the start of the term. We are unable to offer refunds for missed classes or cancelled registration. Fees are reviewed termly and revised as appropriate. An early bird discount of 5% will be applied to payments made before the start of term. Any payment made after the start of term will not be eligible for a discount and late payments (i.e. those made after the second class of term) will incur a late payment charge.
